Where you go and how long you stay are choices you may make in consultation with your captain. You and he will go over each days' itinerary with the local charts.
Your yacht will be provisioned as you wish - with your requests for food, soft drinks, wine, beer and liquor. meals are outstanding, often prepared by specially trained cooks, thus the yacht very much becomes your luxury hotel afloat, yet offers all the fun and excitement of a new harbor, a new island, new villages to visit, new sandy coves to swim in every day.

Visits the Virgin Islands Virgin Island Charters

The Virgin Island yachts cruise the waters of the United States and British Virgin Islands. There cruising, sailing, snorkeling and swimming are superb, among the best in the Caribbean. A Virgin Island charter typically visits St. Thomas and St. John as well as most of the British Virgin Islands. St. John has some of the Caribbean's prettiest beaches and is two-thirds National Park.

Your itinerary would include Tortola, Virgin Gorda - where one "must" is a visit to the Baths, an area of gorgeous sandy beaches, superb snorkeling and magnificent caves which you can swim through; Peter Island with its Deadman's Bay and Norman Island for a look at its caves made famous by Robert Lewis Stevenson, Jost Van Dyke and stops at many of the smaller islands - Marina Cay or shelling at George Dog, a lunch stop at Sandy Cay. Most of the islands have several delightful anchorages - one can spend a week to ten days easily sailing and exploring the US and British Virgin Islands. On a ten- to fourteen-day charter, the US Island of St. Croix may be included or Anegada which is northeast of Virgin Gorda and is a snorkeler's and diver's paradise.

St. Martin, easily reached by direct flights from the United States, is an ever popular sailing area. A charter here may start in Phillipsburg on the Dutch side or from Marigot on the French side or one of the several other anchorages on the island. A charter would include stops at Isle Pinel on the upper coast, Tintamarre with its beautiful beach, the charming village of Marigot on the French side, filled with outstanding restaurants and shops. St Barths, twelve miles southeast of St. Martin is the highlight of any Caribbean visit with its miles of white beaches, the picturesque capital of Gustavia and many excellent restaurants. Anguilla, a few miles beyond the French side of St. Martin, has several quietly beautiful anchorages. If time allows, longer sails to Nevis,St. Kitts, Statia and Saba are within easy reach of St. Martin.

Wander the Windwards Windward Islands

The Grenadines - a typical week's charter would start in St. Vincent, a short sail ten miles away to the charming island of Bequia and its anchorage of Admiralty Bay at Port Elizabeth. Here you can see the strongly built local sloops made by Bequia craftsmen. From Bequia you can sail to Mustique, Cannouan, the incomparable Tobago Cays for excellent snorkeling or diving, Mayreau, Union Island, Petit St. Vincent or Palm Island, each with charming small hotels, Carriacou and on to Grenada. If you have ten to fourteen days, you could easily start in St. Lucia with shops at the Pitons (a stop here means tying to a palm tree between the twin Pitons) or Marigot Harbor. Alternately, sailing from Antigua to Martinique or from Antigua to St. Martin offers longer distance sailing.
